Lameness Evaluation

A lameness examination involves evaluating the horse as it performs in a wide variety of gaits, movements and transitions.  If indicated, several tests including nerve and intra-articular blocks are employed to localize the source of the lameness.

Radiographs and/or an ultrasound exam is often performed to more accurately diagnose the problem.

When the location and type of injury is found, we will recommend the appropriate  treatment and/or rehabilitation plan for your horse.
